INGREDIENTS:
6 cups water
1.5 tsp salt
2 cups milk
2 cups pasta
3 cloves chopped garlic
1 chopped onion
1 chopped carrot and capsicum(optional)
3 tbsp sweet corn
1 tsp pepper
2 tbsp butter
3 tbsp maida or all purpose flour
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1/2 tsp mixed herbs
2 tbsp oil
PROCEDURE:
1. Take a saucepan and add 6 cups of water and 1 tsp salt.
2. Bring it to a boil and add 2 cups pasta. Boil for 7 minutes. (DO NOT OVERCOOK).
3. Drain the water and keep it aside.
4.Take a pan and add 2 tbsp oil, 3 cloves of chopped garlic, 1 chopped onion, add chopped carrots and capsicums if you like, 3 tbsp sweet corn
5. Mix well for 1 minute.
6. Add 1/2 tsp pepper and 1 tsp salt mix well and keep aside.
7. Take a deep bottomed pan, add 2 tbsp butter and 3 tbsp maida(or all purpose flour). Mix this on medium flame and make sure it does not turn brown.
8. Add one cup milk and mix nicely and continuously without forming lumps.
9. When this becomes thick and lump free, add one more cup of milk and stir well to prevent lumps. Mix it until you get a smooth and silky texture.
10. Add 1/2 tsp pepper to this, add 1/2 tsp chilli flakes, salt 1/2 tsp and 1/2 tsp mixed herbs as well.
11. Add the vegetable mixture that we had made to it and then the boiled pasta.
12. Mix well. Then add 2 tbsp water.
13. Cook it for some time until it gets thick.
14. Turn off the flame and add cheddar cheese to it.
